5 Ways a Life Coach could help you PDF Print E-mail
(Issue 7 - April 2010)
Over the last few years we have seen the emergence of  the life coach as a career and service, but what do these people actually do? We asked Trinidad-based coach Janice Learmond-Criqui to explain how ZiNG readers might benefit from their skills...

1
Getting back on track – if you’ve been through an intense situation and you would like someone to help you get back into the flow of your life and refocus, a life coach can offer another perspective that is compassionate, understanding and sympathetic yet firm.

2 Personal life – if your dating and relationships, career and personal growth areas seem like they are someone else’s, life coaches can assist by helping you to figure out where you are and where you want to get to.

3 Information overload –  if you’re frustrated with an aspect of your life but not sure how to stop making the same choices you keep making, a life coach will seek to elicit solutions and strategies from you, to assist you on your way.

4 Get fit, get healthy – if you know the kind of fitness level and the healthy lifestyle you want but you’re feeling uninspired, a life coach, alongside your personal trainer, can often help you to remain motivated and focused.

5 Stress management – it is so easy to get caught up wanting more of everything from life – money, a partner, promotion etc. that we can end up chasing ourselves.  A life coach can help you identify these drivers and reduce your stress levels, yet retain the focus on your goals.
