(Issue 5 - October 2009) The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) has named Josef Forstmayr as President elect for 2010-2012. Forstmayr is a director on the Jamaica Tourist Board and Managing Director at Round Hill Hotel and Villas in Jamaica… The CHTA has announced that next year’s Caribbean Marketplace will be held at the Puerto Rico Convention Centre in San Juan from Jan 10-12. The event is the requisite business-to-business marketing event for the Caribbean hotel and tourism industry to meet, network, negotiate and conduct business with buyers from around the world. A record number of exhibitors are predicted this year… The 2009 CHTA Small Hotel Retreat will be held at the Marriott Frenchman’s Reef in St Thomas, USVI, from September 30 - October 2, 2009. This event is developed by small hoteliers for small hoteliers and focuses on marketing skills, technology, and human resource development. |
