(Issue 7 - April 2010) Did you know that the more you save, the better you’ll be able to overcome unforeseen situations? Start saving as much as you can now! Did you know that you earn interest on both your savings AND the interest that stays in your savings account? This is compounded interest and means that you’re gaining in two ways! So save, not spend, your interest payments. Did you know that once a child learns how money works, he or she will be more interested in everything that has to do with money? Here’s a fun activity – let your children guess the cost of your grocery items. This enables them to appreciate the cost of various items. Did you know that parents can use nursery rhymes to discuss the cost of food items with their children?
