Fly me to St Vincent & The Grenadines PDF Print E-mail
ZiNG reader Gerelyn John tells you why he thinks you should be heading for SVG…

“If you are already airborne, you may be peering through the windows to get a birds-eye view of some of the 32 picturesque islands and cays that make up St Vincent and the Grenadines.

If your port of embarkation had been E T Joshua Arnos Vale you would reluctantly be saying goodbye to these islands. Hopefully though, all the souvenirs that make up your luggage will serve as life-long pleasant memories of your exploits on mainland St Vincent, with its black volcanic sand, and on its sister islands with their white coral beaches.

You would have seen Young Island off to your left just about when you lifted off, and now you would be able to point the others out as you head south… Bequia, Mustique, Canouan, Mayreau… then you become lost in the beauty of these unspoilt islands with their gorgeous mountains, pristine valleys and tumbling waterfalls.

If you are approaching from the north, our La Soufrière Volcano announces your arrival and gives you clearance to glide along the eastern shores to your welcome at E T Joshua.

If however you are coming from the east, with a keen eye you might catch a glimpse of your future landing spot at Argyle, where our International airport is undergoing construction.

It may be that this flight is taking you nowhere near to SVG, but don’t be disheartened – when it is your next destination, any turbulence you may feel should be considered a rocking welcome!”
