How to join the green party |

(Issue 3: April 2009) One Trinidadian Carnival band returned to its roots, and leaves and bark, to get the green message across this Carnival season.
The band My Green Space was created by Byron Joseph and Gregory
Sherwood as a reaction to the prevailing ‘bikini mas’ culture of recent
years and to promote awareness of global warming. Veteran masman Joseph
encouraged the use of biodegradable materials in creating the costumes
to help reduce Carnival debris and to encourage a return to the
traditional creativity associated with mas and costume making.
