• Name: Anthony Mayers • From: St Michael, Barbados • Job title: Production assistant for The Caribbean Photo and Film Production Company (www.thecaribbeanproduction.com) • What does it involve? Planning, catering, transportation and taking care of shoot teams who come to Barbados for the amazing scenery. Day to day this could be as varied as shooting fashion models for a catalogue in a gorgeous mansion to organising stuntmen for a German movie. • How did you get into it? I started as a driver for the team, taking them from location to location, and then took on more responsibilities as the company grew. • What would you do if you didn’t do this? As production work can be seasonal, I also work as a taxi driver taking tours around the island. |
