LiMEGREEN - Get Involved! PDF Print E-mail
(Issue 7 - April 2010)
The environmental group Green VI strives for a green, clean, healthy, and prosperous British Virgin Islands, in which a balance is maintained between development and conservation of the natural environment.

One of the projects they’re currently working on is the Trellis Bay glass furnace - a cornerstone of the group’s plans to help the territory to manage its solid waste better. Once the facility is built it will turn a small fraction of the territory’s waste glass into bowls, trinkets and other glassware, whilst raising environmental awareness, providing a training ground for local artists, and attracting tourists.

• If you want to know more, or think you can help with this project, go to the Green VI website: www.greenvi.org
