For celebration: Divali, Trinidad & Tobago
Divali is the Hindu festival celebrated in India and across the world on Amaavasya, the fifteenth night of the dark fortnight of the month of Kaartik. It is considered the Festival of Lights and is marked by the lighting of deeyas, which are made from clay and filled with oil.

For energy: Run Barbados
Now in its 23rd year, this is weekend-long sporting event is complemented by popular entertainment and festivities. Professional runners are motivated by their standings in the field, but fun and music play a big part too. This series will include a full marathon, half-marathon, 10km and 5km run, and a toddlers walk.

For culture: Antigua & barbuda Literary Festival
The Jolly Beach Resort, Antigua, will be the venue for this three-day celebration of literary arts featuring workshops and author readings and signings.

For music lovers: Tranquility Jazz Festival & Reggae Festival, Anguilla
Now one of the island’s feature events, the Tranquility Jazz Festival in November will highlight the fall musical scene in Anguilla, entertaining jazz aficionados among the local population and visitors alike. Hot on the heels of the Jazz festival comes the Reggae Festival in December, another must-see event.
